About us
Sydney Beach Tennis School started operating in October 2019 starting with a small group in Manly Beach. The school soon enough relocated to Collaroy Beach, place that has become SBTS’s main venue. Our community has grown exponentially since and has started to expand to other iconic Northern Beaches such as South Narrabeen, North Narrabeen, Mona Vale and Newport.

Cristian Van de Wyngard

Junior Development Sports coaching - Tennis Australia
Cristián moved to Australia in 2010, he has worked as a tennis coach since then. Cristián has coached from beginner to advanced juniors and adults tennis players. In 2017 he discover beach tennis and soon became one of his passions, in 2019 he decided to become a certified beach tennis coach in Natal - Brazil. Cristián has also trained with the Chilean national team as part of his coaching development.

Cecilia Balieiro
Physical Education Teacher UMCE, Santiago - Chile.
Cecilia moved to Australia in 2010, she began her career in Sydney working as a Gymnastics coach. She worked for several years in the swimming industry working with infants and adults. Cecilia has a vast experience working with kids as multi sports and modified Tennis coach in the lower North Shore. Cecilia plays indoor volleyball and began playing beach tennis with Sydney Beach Tennis School in 2019. In 2023 Cecilia got her Bronze certificate in Beach tennis with Fedelis in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
